Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. — James 5:7
With her mother in tow, the small girl ricocheted through the airport terminal. She stopped abruptly at a window. Pressing her nose against the glass, she shouted: “It’s Daddy! I see him!” Her mother tried to quiet her, but the girl insisted: “He’s waving! I can see his hand!”
I couldn’t resist looking toward the object of the girl’s excitement. She knew confidently she could see her daddy’s hand in the plane’s postage-stamp
Do you wait for our Heavenly Father’s return with such confidence? In the crowded terminals of life, do you watch for His hand at the window?
James wrote to reassure Christians who apparently felt Jesus’ return had been delayed. He told them to wait expectantly and patiently. Sometimes we
also need to be reminded to wait patiently. Christ will return; praise God for His promise.
FATHER, THANK YOU FOR THE ASSURANCE OF YOUR RETURN
